Quick! Let's Whiten Those Teeth Before the Holidays

Quick! Let's Whiten Those Teeth Before the Holidays

The holiday season has a way of sneaking up on you, catching you by surprise every year. Why not get one thing off your to-do list now so that you can head into the season with a smile that sparkles? We’re talking about whitening and brightening your teeth.

As important as the dental and oral health care services are here at McLean Aura Dentistry, we also feel that smiles are important, and we want to make yours shine bright. To that end, our experienced team, under the guidance of Dr. Negar Tehrani and Dr. Chang Yi, offers two great ways to whiten your teeth in time for the holidays.

Professional-grade teeth whitening

You’re diligent about your dental regimen, and you even use toothpaste with whiteners in it,  but your teeth are still dull and even a bit yellowish. This discoloration is perfectly natural as stains build up and enamel wears down.

One of the fastest ways to breathe new life into dull teeth is through teeth whitening, which is why more than 35 million people in the United States are turning to teeth whiteners in 2023.

Our practice offers professional-grade teeth whitening with industry-leading Zoom!® products. With Zoom, we can whiten your teeth by up to eight shades in just one in-office visit.

To do this, when you come in, we get you comfortable in the chair and then take steps to protect your gums. When you’re ready, we apply a bleaching agent to your teeth and then use a special light to activate the whitening. After 15 minutes, we remove the gel.

Depending on your goals, we might go through this process one, two, or three times, and afterward, you walk out with noticeably whiter teeth.

Covering up with dental veneers

Another great way to whiten teeth and solve a number of minor issues that may be detracting from your smile is with dental veneers.

Dental veneers are wafer-thin, porcelain shells that we place over the fronts of your teeth, usually those located in your “smile zone.” Not only do these shells give you whiter fronts, but they can also cover up:

Getting porcelain veneers is a bit more time-consuming than teeth whitening. First, we prepare your teeth and make impressions for your veneers. When your custom-made veneers are ready, you return, and we bond them into place.

So, it’s two trips to our offices instead of the one needed for teeth whitening. However, these two trips are worth it when you flash your perfect smile throughout the holidays.

If you’d like your smile to sparkle this holiday season,  please contact our office in McLean, Virginia, at 703-429-0770 to schedule an appointment. Or, you can request an appointment online.
